O CONHECIMENTO DOS ADOLESCENTES DE UMA ESCOLA PÚBLICA SOBRE SEUS DIREITOS: UM ESTUDO À LUZ DO ESTATUTO DA CRIANÇA E DO ADOLESCENTE - ECA / THE KNOWLEDGE OF ADOLESCENTS FROM A PUBLIC SCHOOL ABOUT THEIR RIGHTS: A STUDY IN THE LIGHT OF THE ECA

Resumo

Este estudo teve o objetivo de identificar o conhecimento dos adolescentes do Curso Técnico em Enfermagem concomitante ao Ensino Médio do Colégio Agrícola de Floriano da Universidade Federal do Piauí – UFPI - sobre os direitos fundamentais regulados no Estatuto da Criança e do Adolescente, ECA. Realizou-se a investigação com vinte alunos adolescentes, por meio de entrevistas semiestruturadas, a fim de estabelecer o conhecimento dos sujeitos da pesquisa em relação ao ECA. Os resultados revelaram que o ECA é conhecido superficialmente. Tal constatação enfraquece o exercício da cidadania e deve, portanto, levar a escola a refletir sobre a formação de seus educadores e, consequentemente, sobre a formação profissional e cidadã de seus educandos.

ABSTRACT

This study has got as objective to identify the teenagers' knowledge of the technical course in nursing concomitant to the secondary education of the Agricola school in Floriano of the Federal University of Piauí –UFPI- about the fundamental rights regulated in the Statute of Child and Adolescent, SCA. It was achieved the investigation with twenty adolescent students through structured interviews in order to establish the knowledge of the individuals of the research in relation to the SCA. The results revealed that the SCA is known superficially. This finding makes weak the exercise of citizenship and must therefore lead the school to reflect about the training of its teachers and, consequently, about the professional and citizen training of its students.
