OS MINGAULEIROS DE MIRITI: TRABALHO, SOCIABILIDADE E CONSUMO NA BEIRA DE ABAETETUBA, PARÁ / THE MINGAULEIROS DE MIRITI: WORK, SOCIABILITY AND CONSUPTION IN “EDGE” OF ABAETETUBA MUNICIPALITY, PARÁ STATE

Abstract

O artigo descreve o cotidiano em torno do trabalho, do consumo e das sociabilidades tecidas na “beira” de Abaetetuba, no Pará, a partir da transformação do fruto do miriti em um “mingau”, alimento amplamente apreciado na região. Para a condução do estudo, empreendemos entrevistas e observações junto aos mingauleiros que comercializam o mingau na única feira do município.

ABSTRACT


The article describes the daily life around work, consumption and sociability conducted at the "edge" of Abaetetuba, Pará State, from the transformation of the miriti fruit in “porridge”, food widely appreciated in the region. To conduct the study, we conducted interviews and observations along the “mingauleiros” that selling the “porridge” in the only market place of the municipality.
