Lógicas Institucionais em Empresas Familiares: Uma Revisão Integrativa de Literatura / Institutional Logics in Family Businesses: An Integrative Literature Review

Resumo


As empresas familiares representam importantes organizações a nível mundial. Contudo, estas organizações possuem diferentes aspectos de gestão quando comparadas a organizações que não possuem controle familiar. Percebe-se então que elas são guiadas por diferentes lógicas institucionais que se pautam em ações e práticas socialmente desenvolvidas para legitimar os aspectos de gestão destas organizações. Isto posto, o objetivo deste estudo é identificar na literatura internacional como o tema “Lógicas institucionais em empresas familiares” tem sido tratado. Para tanto, realizou-se uma revisão integrativa de literatura, na qual destaca-se as principais contribuições dos artigos publicados nas bases Web of Science e Scopus, até o ano de 2020. Como principais contribuições, identificou-se que o campo ainda está aberto para novas pesquisas, as pesquisas têm sido aplicadas em diferentes países, tanto ocidentais como orientais, havendo um foco predominante em torno das lógicas de sucessão na empresa. É proposto também, no fim do artigo, um framework que auxilie no desenvolvimento de novas análises no âmbito das lógicas institucionais e empresas familiares a partir das contribuições identificadas, bem como uma agenda de pesquisas futuras, visando desenvolver o campo.

ABSTRACT

 

Family firms represent important associations worldwide. However, these associations have different aspects of management when compared to associations that do not have family control. It is clear that they are guided by different institutional logics that are guided by socially developed actions and practices to legitimize the management aspects of these associations. That said, the objective of this study is to identify in the international literature how the theme “Institutional logics in family firms” has been treated. To this end, an integrative literature review was carried out, highlighting the main contributions of articles published in the Web of Science and Scopus databases, until the year 2020. As main contributions, it was identified that the field is still open for new research, research has been applied in different countries, both western and eastern, with a focus on the logics of succession in the company. It is also proposed, at the end of the article, a framework that helps in the development of new analyzes within the scope of institutional logic and family firms, as well as an agenda for future studies, as form to contribute with the development of the field.
