Desempenho Hospitalar: Proposta de Pesquisa Bibliográfica sob as Orientações do Método de Revisão Sistemática / Hospital Performance: a Bibliographic Research Proposal under the Sistematyc Review Method Orientation

ABSTRACT
The characteristics inherent to hospitals and health care, as a whole, and the importance of hospital performance assessment processes and the wide range of performance indicators categories justify the relevance of further exploring such thematics. The development of this review aimed to contextualize, from the definition of the state of the art, the research setting related to hospital performance. Methodologically, this paper was oriented by the systematic review method assumptions, taking into account aspects related to items such as year of publication, countries, journals, keywords, sectors of application and methods applied. Among the results, it can be mentioned about the north american contribution in the research context involving hospital management and; the concentration of research relying on statistical, mathematical and the combination of both fields (hybrid models). It is expected that this article may initially contribute to the approximation between academia and health care organizations, as well as the areas, managerial and technical, involved in health progress.
