Abstract

RESUMEN

Se muestra en este trabajo la importancia de la lengua inglesa como cauce de conocimiento para Borges, no sólo de la cultura anglosajona sino de otras culturas,  como es el caso de la extremo oriental, medio oriental y las antiguas literaturas germánicas, con gran presencia en su obra intermediadora. Llamo así al conjunto de sus ensayos, manuales y antologías literarias, por mediar entre esas otras culturas y el ámbito latino de lengua española. Borges proporcionó en estas obras una serie de datos que se van a convertir, a partir de entonces, en centro de búsqueda y de interés para lectores latinos.

ABSTRACT

The importance of English as a channel of knowledge for Borges is shown in this work, not only of Anglo-Saxon culture but other cultures, such as the eastern end, middle eastern and ancient Germanic literature, with great presence intermediary his work. And call the set of his essays, manuals and literary anthologies, to mediate between these cultures and the Latin field of Spanish language. Borges provided in these works a series of data to be converted, thereafter, in search center and of interest to Latino readers.
